When Palash left Silicon Valley and decided he wanted to be in business for himself, he was especially inspired by the sad reality that Charlotte was ranked 50th out of 50 metropolitan areas for economic mobility. He wanted to be in a business that could change that trajectory, starting with his workforce.
As a different kind of facilitated session, Palash will share his inspired approach to building a million-dollar business with purpose-driven capitalism driving his growth and differentiation.

BIO: Palash Desai is CEO of The Organic Maids, Inc. which he has grown to be among the top residential and commercial cleaning service companies in the Charlotte region. His passion for empowering successful business growth is matched by his belief that one business can make a difference in the
economic mobility, health and vitality of countless lives. Upon obtaining his MBA from Cornell University, he landed in Silicon Valley working for high-tech companies with leadership positions in the areas of product development and marketing, technology, and operations management. It was when he was assigned to lead a special project in Morocco in North Africa, with the U.S. State Department in a private-public initiative to create high paying jobs in indigent regions that Palash realized
a true passion for his work and the difference it could make. After relocating to Charlotte in a transfer, Palash realized he wanted to create a business with a meaningful purpose behind it having lasting impact. In 2012, he acquired ownership of an organic maid service, known today as The Organic Maids to bring his purpose-driven business aspiration to life.
