A SPECIAL NOTE FROM DIRECTOR, SHERRE' DeMAO
When ACAC first went virtual in early 2020, we saw an increase in attendance to our virtual meetings, as it appeared to be even more convenient, and well, we really had no choice, now did we? Our largest attendance capped at around 45-50 participants via Zoom. As time waned on, we averaged around 20-25 in attendance in conjunction with a robust communication protocol that kept everyone engaged and in the loop.
Then life happened for me, with the loss of three family members over a six-month period, which did impact the frequency of communications out to the group and my ability to be engaged and lead the group. And shortly after our January 14th meeting, my mother was put into Hospice, and then on January 24th, I lost my mother. I want to extend a deep appreciation to Jeff Moder and John Natoli for leading many meetings in my absence in 2021 and for everyone's grace
amidst a most tumultuous year for my family. I also want to thank Stephen Melton for assisting me in the social gathering being shared below.
Over these past six months, the lack of communication seems to correlate with disengagement among the group, with now our meetings averaging around 10-15 in attendance. I share this only to reinforce that there is a direct connection with frequency of communication AND participation, something all of us can take note. The old saying, "out of sight, out of mind" appears to have been the case.
ACAC CHALLENGE - LET'S RE-ENGAGE & RECONNECT! In an upcoming Shout Out & Alert (look for it in your in-boxes next week), you will hear how ACAC has truly achieved its vision and mission, along with our positioning, Build Trust, Build Revenue, in some of the successes captured and shared. I'd like to pose a challenge to each of you. Let's make 2022 a year where we all reconnect with each other to continue the momentum of building trust,
building revenue!
And you can START by joining us February 11th AND February 24th!
With appreciation,
Sherre'
P.S. It will also be a nice time to thank Jeff Moder and John Natoli for assisting as a part of the leadership support team, and welcoming Stephen Melton, and a name soon to be announced to the leadership support team.

Using Social Media as a Platform
for Exposure & Influence
Most consultants have a love-hate relationship with social media, and the leanings are more on the dislike side of the equation. What good will it do? How can it really help? Hasn't it just turned into a means for people to complain and get political? Isn't it only valuable if you have a book? What would I
have to share anyway? These and many similar questions have resulted in too many marketing initiatives dismissing social media as a viable strategy, especially on the business-to-business front. Denise Cagan will share the basics, what works, what doesn't, along with best practices that can help you as a consultant build your influence as an expert.
BIO: Denise Cagan started her first company while still working as a QA Manager at Coca-Cola. After a year of doing both, she moved on to becoming a full-time business owner at DiCi Services. She grew DiCi for 10 years, selling it in 2011.Today her focus is on her company, DCA Virtual Business Support,
which provides support for growing businesses for their administrative and creative needs. Outsourcing these functions enables small business owners to develop and expand their organizations. DCA believes in small businesses and the families they support. Denise graduated from James Madison University with a BS in Quality Systems Development which she applies expertly in her business and with her clients.
