Nov 8 – Are you seizing or being seized? Are you able to pursue all the opportunities before you, or are you feeling overwhelmed and
unable due to many constraints? Are you spending time on your most valuable work, or being constantly pulled away from it for what seems like more pressing matters? Are you feeling as though you have no control over what you ultimately would like to be focusing upon? There are two definitions to the word “seize.” One definition is to “take
hold of suddenly and forcibly,” and the second definition is to “take on an opportunity or initiative eagerly and decisively.” If you feel as though you are being pulled in a million directions, unable to make momentum-building decisions and take momentum-building actions, then you are in a reactionary mode of focusing on whatever is “suddenly” or “forcibly” beckoning your attention. To seize opportunities, you must seize your time back, or assess whatever is keeping you from doing or
